Attorney Johnson’s previous career as a lawyer and counselor for victims of domestic violence inspired her to practice family law. Since becoming a lawyer in 2007, she has helped hundreds of clients move independently and safely towards a better future.
On more than one occasion, Attorney Johnson has been recognized for her excellent work in the area of family law and as a champion for women in the profession. Julie Johnson received the prestigious Alta May Hulett Award from the Chicago Bar Association Alliance for Women in 2017. This award recognizes Attorney Johnson’s work in promoting the advancement of women in the legal profession and local communities. Julie Johnson has served the legal community in many capacities. Since she was a student at the Northern Illinois University College of Law, Ms. Johnson has been an active member of the Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA). Today, she is completing the final year of her second elected term on the ISBA Board of Governors. She is also a member of the DuPage County Bar Association, the DuPage Association of Women Lawyers and the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association.
